How JADAM works, in three steps
Brew the soil
A handful of leaf mold from under the trees, a boiled potato and a pinch of sea salt in a bucket of water. Two days later you have a living microbe brew to water the garden with.
Feed with weeds
Weeds, grass clippings or fish scraps in a drum of water with a little leaf mold. Let it sit, then water it down. That is your liquid fertilizer, for free.
Make your own sprays
Sulfur, lye and water cooked into the JADAM sulfur concentrate. The pest book explains how and when farmers use it. It is strong stuff, so the safety list below is not optional.
Lye burns. Read this before step 3.
- Potassium hydroxide (lye) burns skin and eyes. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and goggles every time.
- Add lye to water. Never pour water onto lye.
- Do it outside, away from kids and pets. Keep a hose running nearby.
- This page teaches a method from the JADAM books. It does not sell any spray, and it is not advice for your garden. Check your local rules before using any homemade spray.
Questions
Why does checkout happen on another website?

Do I pay more by buying through this page?

Is this the official JADAM store?
No. JADAM is a method taught by Youngsang Cho's institute in South Korea. This page is my own list of gear, and it is not connected to them. Their free articles and videos are at en.jadam.kr.
Do I really need all this?
No. Most people start with the book, a bucket and a strainer bag. Buy the rest when you reach that step.
